Email Marketing. Just Like That.
Email marketing is still one of the most effective forms of low-cost Internet marketing. As you may know, the GDN targets users when they’re browsing the web, and it also lets marketers serve ads to people’s email inboxes in the form of Gmail Ads This campaign type was released to all advertisers last year, after what felt like a lifetime in beta.
A number of email applications are completely free for the first few hundred subscribers, providing the perfect opportunity for you to get started, build your subscriber list and figure out what email marketing tactics resonate with your audience before you go big.
Generally B2B email campaigns involve redirecting prospects to the home website’s landing page post with relevant offers (mostly in terms of Discounts on Services, Solutions and Products; Whitepapers; Guides; Reports; Free Invitation to webinars and other value-additions), compelling them to exchange their details.
Gone are the days of placing an advertisement on television, on a diner placemat, or in a periodical with no control of who will see it. With email marketing, you have the ability to control exactly who sees an email by segmenting your contacts based on their lead status, demographics, location or any other data.
If someone doesn’t click on an email for six months, for example, you might send an automated email saying you’re sorry they aren’t getting value out of your content, and you’d like to save them some time by removing them from your list unless they take an action.
The reason that this process is so important is highlighted above in Steps #1 and #2. No message subject guideline or template will work equally well across all industries – so it’s not unusual to find that what kills in one industry falls flat in another.
Do this consistently, and your conversions will go way up. But content marketing doesn’t just give you more opportunities for conversions, it actually increases the rate at which visitors convert, because it strengthens the credibility, authority, and trustworthiness of your brand.
Also you would have reputation problems, if you tried to send a mailing using a Gmail account, after all, this is a domain created for personal emails, in fact, Google offers corporate accounts, but again you would have to create the account using a corporate domain.
